It's not that type of puff puff chillin'! Snapped a pic while lounging around. I look like side show Bob (The Simpsons) especially with my red tips but it was such an easy and fun look.
1. Grab a loosened Goody band or any head band and place it around your neck.
2. Push it up against your tresses.
3. Enjoy your PUFF PUFF pass. :)

My new favorite hair style....I don't have the best video equipment to record video instructions so I will stick to pictorials for now. I'll try to post pictorial's more often.

1.I start wiht freshly washed or co-washed hair and apply a leave in conditioner.
2.Part hair (most times using my fingers instead of a comb), apply small amount of styling agent to each parted section, and twist. I part the front of my hair in the direction I want the end product to go. If you don't know how to flat twist, there are tons of YouTube videos out there to guide you. The more twists the more defined the outcome.
3.Apply roller to the end. This just gives it more of a curly look.
4. Leave twists in until completely dry. I normally leave mine in for a full day.

Some of you may be concerned about how you can wear your natural hair in the work place. Not every employer understands our hair or views it as professional, just ignorance on their part. For those of you in a more conservative setting I have put together a collage of styles that could work for you! I would recommend searching google and YouTube for styles such as mini twists, twist updos, buns, and roller sets. If you're thinking of going for the Big Chop, there's no afro quite as classy as the TWA (teeny weeny afro). These are my go to styles when I want to tame my mane. When in doubt add a flower or headband accessory along with a pair of pearl earrings or a necklace.  #BIGhairdontcare

Protective styling is a form of low manipulation styling that ultimately promotes length retention. Put simply, the less you play in your hair the more it will grow. At least that's what I have gotten from the many bloggers and YouTubers I follow. This is especially important during the winter when Ohio weather is harsh. Keeping your ends sealed with oil and tucked away will keep them from coming in contact with our cotton shirts and wool coats causing ends to be roughed up and split. I follow Kimmaytube on YouTube and she keeps her hair protected all year round leaving her hair out only a few days out of the month. My protective style of choice is mini twist. I love mini twist! It takes me about 3-4 hours to complete my entire head. But I can make it last for up to 4 weeks. I try to keep them in for 3 weeks and where my hair out during week 4 then its back to mini twists! Check out Kimmaytube on the benefits of protective styling and Blackonyx77 on doing rope twists vs two strand twists.
